LTH Electronics have recently been appointed as the U.K. distributors for Klay Instruments B.V., offering a range of compact and rugged pressure and level transmitters, switches and intelligent transmitters with HART® or Profibus PA communications. All of the products come with stainless steel enclosures as standard. Special level and pressure transmitters with Hastelloy C or Tantalum wetted parts offer a cost effective solution for applications where greater chemical resistance is required. Klay transmitters can also be produced to suit a temperature range of 0-200ºC without compromising the accuracy and stability of the measurement.

Level measurement
For level measurement the 8000-SAN transmitters and 2000-SAN intelligent are suitable for the measurement of fluids, pastes and sludges. Both series of transmitters can be supplied with flanged, Hygienic or threaded process connections suitable for a wide range of industries including food and beverage, marine and ship building, oil and gas, pharmaceutical, pulp and paper and water and waste water. All the transmitters are fully temperature compensated and have strong flush mounted diaphragms.

Klay Instruments offer a range of submersible level transmitters with either a cable or stainless steel tube extension. The conventional Hydrobar and the Intelligent Hydrobar S series level transmitters have a strong flush mounted diaphragm complete with protection cap. All Hydrobar transmitters have full temperature compensation and are suitable for a wide range of applications in marine, ship building, paper and pulp, water and waste water and other industries.

Rugged and compact Vibrating level switches with insertion lengths from 47mm to 3 metres are available for minimum and maximum level detection and dry run protection of pumps in all fluid types. The all stainless steel switches have a hygienic process connection and Relay or PNP output.

Pressure Measurement
Flush diaphragm transmitters with a wide range of process connections are available for pressure measurement of sticky fluids in many industries. The transmitters can be supplied with 4-20mA, HART and Profibus outputs.

The 8000-SAN and 2000-SAN transmitters are designed for pressure measurement in the beverage, brewing, dairy and food industries where CIP and SIP cleaning occurs. The transmitters are temperature compensated with all hygienic process connections available.

The PRS family of hygienic pressure switches offer a simple and cost effective solution for process pressure switching requirements. A 2 wire switched contact is triggered at a preset level for overload/overfill protection in applications such as pump shut off.

Temperature Measurement
To complement the range of level and pressure transmitters the PT-100 Temperature sensors are available with a choice of 3 different head designs, 2 of which are fabricated in robust, corrosion resistant Stainless Steel. The sensors can be supplied with a choice of probe lengths with all wetted parts as Stainless Steel. Various head mounted transmitters can be supplied with 4-20mA, HART or Profibus Outputs.
