The accurate measurement of flow in process applications is becoming an important measurement in monitoring and controlling the use of liquids and can make the difference between making a profit and losing money.

Flow is becoming one of the most frequently used measurements in industrial applications as industry requirements can require Displaying, Recording and totalising of the flow.

The Swing Controller and the PTU series of sensors offer a competitively priced Ultrasonic flow measurement system for open channel flow applications using either flumes or weirs.

A flume is suitable where solids may be present as flumes self clean due to the increase in velocity in the restricted part of the flume. The Swing controller is suitable for use with Venturi, British Standard or Parshall flumes and has pre-programmed Venturi flume dimensions to simplifying the setting up procedure.

The Swing and PTU system can be used with Rectangular, V notch and Trapezoidal weirs. The V notch weir is ideal for accurate measurement is on a low discharge rate.

The Swing controller takes up to 2 sensor inputs, has 5 relay outputs and can display both the Instantaneous and the Totalised flow.

For in pipe measurement we can offer the SCL600 series of Time Transit flow meters which are suitable for conductive or non conductive fluids which contain suspended solids. They can be used for Steel, Cast Iron or Plastic pipes and pipes lined with Cement, Rubber or Plastic.

The SCL600 Flow meter with insertion type sensors offers high accuracy measurement in large diameter pipe applications with a maximum pressure rating of 20 Bar.

The SCL620 general purpose flow meter and the SCL630 portable time transit flow meters have clamp on Transducers which offer the great advantage of not having to install the transducers into the pipe. This makes installation relatively simple; they can be fitted retrospectively without interrupting the process and also reduces the installation costs. These types of systems are ideal for lined pipe applications.

The SCL630 portable system is ideal for applications where temporary flow measurement applications are required and to check the calibration and operation of fixed flow meters.

The RPmag62 Electromagnetic flow meter is suitable for use on liquids with conductivities greater than 5µS/cm even where suspended solids are present in the liquid. The RPmag62 is available as a compact or remote mounting option in varying sizes from DN25 to DN1600.

Both the Instantaneous and the Totalised flow can be displayed over a wide working range.

The RPmag62 is very accurate and is suitable for both dirty and abrasive liquids with no limit on the viscosity of the liquid.
