Automation of any process improves quality, reduces costs and waste and provides the facility
to record and manipulate the data. Conductivity measurements can provide information on a
process solution composition and give a direct correlation to concentration.
In the process, dairy, brewery and food industries conductivity measurement can be used for
chemical concentration measurement or interface detection between chemicals and water to
minimise the waste of chemicals and water and also to improve the efficiency of a process
operation.
LTH Electronics provide Electrodeless or Inductive or Torroidal sensors as they can be
known which are ideal for applications where sensor fouling occurs and will operate with
virtually zero maintenance and provide reliable measurements over extended periods of time.
LTH offer Electrodeless conductivity sensors which are resistant to the chemicals and
temperatures used in clean in place (CIP) applications in dairy, brewery and food applications.
These sensors are also suitable for metal finishing and pre-treatment applications where
contacting conductivity sensors may suffer from electrode coating and ground loops.
We also use Electrodeless conductivity technology with Redox measurement for the automatic
control of chemical dosing and conductivity bleed control in cooling towers to prevent
corrosion, scale and biological growth which can lead to poor efficiency and health hazards.
Applications for LTH Electrodeless Conductivity instrumentation and sensors include:
- Metal finishing and pre-treatments
- Cooling tower bleed control
- Solution concentration
- Interface detection
- Rinse water monitoring
- Cleaning in place (CIP)
- Salinity monitoring
Industries that use LTH Electrodeless Conductivity instrumentation and sensors in their process:
- Dairy, Brewing, Food and Beverages
- Pulp and Paper
- Automotive
- Sugar
- Heating and Ventilation
- Printing
- Metal Finishing
- Environmental
