West Burton is a 2,000MW coal-fired power station that stands on a 410 acre site in north Nottinghamshire, nine miles north-east of Retford. The three MCD53PI conductivity controllers and CMC34/001/PT43 conductivity cells were replacements for three LTH DCD23 conductivity meters and compatible conductivity cells which were originally supplied in 1994.

LTH Electronics has recently supplied four Electrodeless conductivity systems to the First Milk creamery at Haverfordwest in Pembrokeshire, where they were used for the main cip makeup and return system, with a similar system put in place on the tanker makeup and return system.

First Milk is the largest dairy farmer co-operative in the UK. Its members' farms stretch from Central Scotland to the South of England, and from West Wales to East Anglia. LTH Electronics has also recently supplied three conductivity systems to the Rutherford Appleton Laboratory. The systems comprise of the MCD53PI conductivity monitors and CMC34/001/PT43 insertion conductivity cells supplied complete with calibration certificates.

The Rutherford Appleton laboratory (RAL) is located on the Harwell Science & Innovation Campus near Didcot in Oxfordshire and has a global reputation for excellence.

It is one of the foremost laboratories of its kind. It supports research in areas including materials and structures, light sources, astronomy and particle physics. Every year about 10,000 scientists and engineers use the Laboratory’s facilities to advance their research.
